I offer targeted coaching and mentoring that aims to be supportive, encouraging, and constructive.

In addition to a clear California teaching credential, I have an MFA in Creative Writing from Mills College and a BA in English from Carleton College. For decades, I have taught in classrooms, in community settings, and outdoors. The focus of my teaching has ranged from primarily academic to creative to social/emotional. For instance, I have supported all stages of the writing process, offered yoga classes, and facilitated workshops for separating families. I currently teach part time for Bay Area Writing Project at UC Berkeley, occasionally for other organizations, and independently.
